Digital Citizenship
For this project, I worked in a group with three other girls. Together we researched social media addiction and safety. As a fun introduction to our topic, we made a short video hook about what we think life without technology might be like and how it actually is. We also created a brief lesson plan to go with our presentation. This lesson plan has links to all of our resources, the thinglink, the Smartboard activity, the video hook, and includes some of the questions we asked our fellow preservice teachers. In addition to our video and lesson plan, we also made a smartboard activity. In this activity we had our class try to rank different social media platforms and apps from most popular to least popular. During our presentation, we discussed the positives, negatives, risks, solutions, and provided tips and guides for parents.
